Company News:

Fellow travellers... Reep is reaching up, out and over.

For those who are as yet unaware of our recent company changes, Reep Ltd is under new management, with Tom Kneen in the driving seat. Having entered into the company as an Undergraduate, Tom has taken the wheel after Jason Reep moved on in June. Former New Build Manager, Simon Churchill has taken on the navigation, by becoming our Operations Director.

Our local press coverage has recently been greatly increased, with Tom's short listing for Plymouthian Young Business Man of the Year and an extensive biographical interview in the Plymouth Herald. If you missed it, or do not live in the area, I can confirm that it is true, Tom does smile a lot.

What the article did not cover thoroughly, however, are the developments that we are making to the business itself, and the products that we render. Tom has been incredibly lucky to have retained the entire work force that existed at Reep before his appointment, meaning that the expertise, skills, and quality that we aim to cultivate here has not been altered. Apart from this, it's all change, for the better we hope!

The famously durable Polar King body has been closely assessed, and lowered in price. Our panel van capabilities are soon to grow rapidly, meaning a large expansion in both our company size and our product range. Other developments include the addition of contract hire and lease purchase possibilities for our vehicles.

On the design side, our team is always looking to innovate and improve our product range. We have recently worked with T. Quality of Swindon to develop a 7.5tonne multi temperature dry freight and freezer vehicle, to enable single trips for both frozen and dry goods.

The vehicle existed already in an 18tonne size, but the limitations of such a large vehicle prompted the development of a smaller one. The benefits of the vehicle extend far beyond the convenience of travel costs - due to the flexibility and efficiency that the specific design allows for T. Quality, we believe that the cuts in travel itself would mean a huge difference in fuel emissions. As we can cater for a vast variety of needs in a single vehicle, the scope for invention and improving efficiency is vast.

These changes are just the beginning, with an enormous number of developments in the pipeline. In the next month, we will be expanding our repairs team, negotiating a number of contracts, and awaiting the result of Tom's short listing.

Keep on rolling,
